How Being a Vendor at the Granby Farmers Market Helped my Business Grow

Linda Dewey, local potter and owner of LoneSome Stone Pottery has been crafting masterpieces in Granby for years.

“I am so glad that the Granby Farmers Market is returning this year”, says Dewey. “I received a lot of special orders by being there, and was even discovered by a larger store in Denver that now sells my pottery in their store”. Dewey also mentions aside from her business thriving, it’s great to just spend time meeting new people and seeing old friends in the community.

Farmers Markets are unique and special to each community lucky enough to have them. Farmers Markets not only promote community, but they are essential to some of the smaller businesses, artists and farmers that may not have a traditional storefront. Or, businesses just looking to gain some extra exposure under the Colorado sunshine a couple weeks out of the summer months. In 2016, the Granby Farmers Market attracted roughly 800 persons per market – which gained tons of exposure for the 30 vendors that participated last season.

Linda says she plans to be back for the 2017 Farmers Market Season. For more information on LoneSome Stone Pottery, like their Facebook page @Lonesomestonearts.
