Nestled in a majestic Rocky Mountain valley at an elevation of 7,935 ft, surrounded by National Forests with breathtaking views of the Continental Divide, Granby offers a western hospitality and friendly small town vibe that makes visitors feel right at home.
Hiking abounds in the surrounding National Forests and Rocky Mountain National Park. Enjoy world-class golfing, mountain biking, boating, rafting, horseback riding, hunting, Gold Medal fishing, and water sports. We are home to the second largest body of water in Colorado, Lake Granby, and near Shadow Mountain and Grand Lakes. During the winter, Granby is not short of things to do. Downhill ski at family-fantastic Granby Ranch, cross-country ski on miles of trails, tear it up on a snowmobile, go ice fishing, dog sledding or take in all the beauty around you on a snowshoeing trail. Granby has something for everyone to do year round.
Close to many main attractions, including Winter Park Ski Resort, Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake and Hot Sulphur Springs, Granby is the perfect base for exploring all that Grand County has to offer. Granby is one of Colorado’s best-kept secrets and truly is the “Heart of Something Grand.”
Trail Ridge is open but may be closed at any time due to weather conditions. Please do not plan to travel Trail Ridge at night until later in the summer. RMNP is open year round, as well as our surrounding National Forests. For Trail Ridge Road info call 970-586-1222 or 970-586-1206 for Rocky Mountain National Park. There are other routes to get to Granby from the North, and you can call the Chamber for more info.
