Nordic Ski Capital of Colorado

Granby has four Nordic Ski areas with groomed trails nearby!  In addition, there are miles and miles of trails to snowshoe or ski on in Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding National Forests! Let us help you plan your trip. Come join us for free ski lessons in December (with the purchase of a $35 Grand Nordic membership) or the annual Ranch 2 Ranch XC Ski Trek in February.

Snow Mountain Ranch

Snow Mountain Ranch/YMCA Nordic Center is open daily. Rentals are available. Dogs on leashes are allowed on two of their trails. The Center has a full retail shop and a cafeteria open to the public. For more information, contact Snow Mountain Ranch.

Winter Park Resort

Redfeather Snowshoe tours depart from the base of Winter Park Resort daily with additional tours Friday-Sunday. You can purchase rentals at the Balcony House. Self-guided trail information is also available. For more information, contact Winter Park Resort.

Granby Ranch (groomed golf course)

The backcountry of SolVista Basin offers access to 25k maintained trails. A trail pass is free! Snowshoers can access the trail system on foot from the base area or with a one-ride lift pass on the Quick Draw lift. For more information, contact Granby Ranch.

Devil’s Thumb Ranch

Devil’s Thumb Cross-Country Center offers more than 20km of marked snowshoe trails. For more information, visit Devil’s Thumb Ranch.

Grand Lake Nordic Center

Ski and snowshoe trails with spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains!
Enjoy the scenic views of Rocky Mountain National Park and the Arapaho National Forest at the Grand Lake Nordic Center. They offer any beginner to advanced skier a variety of terrain on 35 km of classic skiing trails. This is actually the Grand Lake golf course during the summer.
